The Debian kernel team is planning to attend en masse this year. Perhaps we
should get together as well and show them some Portland hospitality (-->
beer)?
i looked for microbrews reasonably close to the marriot and/or within the free
fare zone (presuming that lasts...). one that's about a 8-10 blocks from the
marriot is the market street pub:

it's not a huge place, so we might have to see if we could reserve a large
table, if it'd be a lot of people (10? 15? 20?).
there are plenty of other microbreweries, and i'll ask around and see if there
are more appealing suggestions, as i'm not too familiar with the downtown area.
I don't know anyone's arrival/departure
schedules yet for the conference,
but if anyone wants to suggest a time (and a place) for a get-together, or
perhaps say when they're /not/ available for getting together that week, we
can work from there.
anytime after 6pm 23rd-25th would work for me. earlier on the 25th would work
too.
