For those who weren't on IRC this afternoon, DebConf14 will take place in
Portland, OR. We're looking at dates in August 2014 and hosting at Portland
State University.
The great thing is, PSU is going to make our hosting jobs ridiculously easy.
But, there's still going to be work to do, and plenty of it. We'll
definitely want volunteers handling everything from helping us develop our
informational pages (how to get to the University from the airport, where to
eat outside of university, what to do outside of conference times, where to
get information about public transportation, etc.) and cleaning up those
informational pages (especially if I'm involved in writing them!) to helping
to ensure network infrastructure meets the heavy demands of 300+ Debian
developers hacking away.
If you're not already joined to the IRC channel, #debian-pdx on OFTC, please
join us. Drop any of us an email (privately or on list!) if you'd like to
be involved, but just don't know what you want to do and we'll gladly offer
suggestions.
For now, I think we need to plan a beering to celebrate!

At times, you may end up far away from home; you may not be
sure of where you belong, anymore. But home is always
there... because home is not a place. It's wherever your
passion takes you.
