That's pretty much the central zone of OSCON every
year, and from
extensive experience I'd say ... hop on the MAX and go downtown,
there's nothing good in that neighborhood. :)
There are a number of good places right by the MAX
line, once you
cross the bridge into downtown.

May I suggest Old Town Pizza [0], or Rogue Distillery and Pub [1]? I've been
to both, and the food is great and the beer continues to flow. :)
You could also try the treck to Lucky Lab on SE Hawthorne, but it looks like
the fastest way there through public transit is by bus, and it's a 15 minute
ride. I'm not sure how adventurous you're feeling. :) Old Town would be my
first pick if I could make it. :)
