Com que l'adjectiu "vistos" ha de concordar en
nombre amb el nom "missatges" necessitava adaptar el
codi, no sé si m'explico... És a dir tal com estava
si traduïa "seen" en singular si (%d != 1) quedava
malament, i si ho traduïa en plural el contrari.
Però llavors veig que en aquesta versió, ho han
canviat per això:
if (new != -1 && (count - new) > 0)
report_build(stdout, GT_("%d %s (%d %s) for %s"),
count, count > 1 ? GT_("messages") :
GT_("message"),
count-new,
GT_("seen"),
buf);
El que s'hauria de fer es tenir dues frases completes, una en singular i una
en plural. Aquest és el mètode que sempre és fa servir. Això fa que s'hagi de
traduir una frase més però deixat total lliberat a adaptar el text per a cada
llengua.
En general, és molt mala idea intentar concatenar cadenes perquè hi ha
llengües que no segueixen el mateix patró sintàctic de l'anglès. Penseu per
exemple, en llengües asiàtiques o l'àrab.
Jo crec que s'hauria d'omplir un bug report al Bugzilla i suggerir aquesta
solució.
