El meu nom és Orestes Mas i m'acabo de subscriure a la llista, tot i que
alguns dels seus membres em són ja familiars perquè escriuen sovint a
altres llistes o els conec personalment (hola Leo).
El cas és que properament hauré de portar la comptabilitat d'una entitat
(l'associació de mares i pares de l'escola dels meus fills) i he pensat
en el GnuCash per facilitar-me una mica aquesta tasca. En mirar-me'l una
mica he vist que no està traduït al català, i he pensat que fer-ho jo
seria també una bona manera de familiaritzar-me amb ell.
Suposo que no serà una tasca senzilla, atès que als problemes inherents
a les traduccions hi ha en aquest cas un problema de vocabulari molt
específic al qual no hi estic avesat (sóc enginyer, no pas economista o
comptable), però ho intentaré. Compto amb una xerrada que va fer el
Sebastià Pla l'any passat a la UPC i -n'estic segur- amb el vostre ajut.
Tanmateix, voldria saber si algú de vosaltres té alguna experiència en
el GnuCash per tal que em digui si val la pena usar-lo o bé hi ha alguna
altra alternativa millor (i també traduïble, és clar).
També em vindria bé algun consell inicial. De moment m'he baixat el
fitxer .po, i tinc instal.lat el KBabel. Cal fer quelcom més? Quin
diccionari convindria usar? És necessari baixar-se el codi font del
GnuCash? Hi ha disponible algun tipus de vocabulari que em pugui
descarregar d'algun lloc i que em permeti traduir automàticament cert
percentatge de missatges?

He fet un script que converteix les llistes de paraules del
TERMCAT a un fitxer de text, amb l'intenció de passar-lo
posteriorment a format dict. El podeu trobar aquí:

Jo ho he provat amb la secció de informàtica i comunicacions
i he de reconèixer que va bastant bé :-) encara que el
resultat s'ha de repassar a mà. Crea una cosa així:

Requereix bash, wget, lynx i grep (>= 2.4.2). Per fer-lo anar
heu d'editar la variable "URL" i posar-hi una URL que apunti
a una pàgina del TERMCAT amb una llista de paraules (aneu al
tanto amb això perquè anirà seguint tots els enllaços d'aquesta
pàgina). La variable DIRHTML és el directori on es guarden els
fitxers HTML amb les definicions.
A mi m'ha funcionat, però sobretot vigileu, perquè només l'he
provat en el meu ordinador.
Jo m'he quedat encallat en aquest punt. He intentat convertir
la llista a dict (amb el dictfmt) però no me'n acabo de sortir.
Potser s'haurà de canviar el format.
